These 4 hour classes are run to prepare parents for dealing with such emergencies. The classes include teaching on home safety and accident prevention; what to do in an emergency; victim assessment; CPR; choking; shock, including anaphalactic shock; bleeding; burns; head injuries; serious injuries; poisoning; heat and cold emergencies; and care of the sick baby or child. Yvonne Heavyside, who teaches the classes, draws upon her vast experience of her own children and more than 30 years working with young families alongside her professional qualifications.
Handbook will be provided.
